Tribute to Pete Clowes

On Friday 7th August at 8.48pm Pete Clowes lost his brave courageous fight with cancer, which he had battled for 3 years...

He never let it get him down and was always so positive that he would beat it.

Pete Clowes was a serial networker who touched many people's lives...

  • Founder and CEO of Internet Business Directory (IBD)
Pete's passion was building his own IBD Network, helping small companies improve their search engine ranking to get more customers.
  • Regional Ambassador for Business Biscotti
Pete spent over 6 years as Regional Ambassador covering Cheshire, North Staffordshire and Manchester. Supporting groups in Crewe, Northwich, Stoke and Stone.
  • Area Leader for 4 Networking
Pete supported over 60 members in Crewe, Cheadle and Congleton Groups for over 5 years.
  • Member of Congleton Chapter of BNI
Pete held all BNI Leadership Team positions and attended all training.
He left due to other commitments and always recommended BNI.

Pete was committed to, help each other provide support and build real, lasting relationships for mutually profitable business benefit.

Pete, Clive, and David sat in a coffee bar 14 months ago and brainstormed ideas for a new Online Networking Business model. As a result, they came up with the concept of making life easier for Micro and Small Businesses.

This is how OBT Synergy was born, by combining Pete’s knowledge and enthusiasm of Business Networking, with the belief that Online Digital Business will help micro and small businesses gain customers.

The decision was made to develop and market this new service.

Clive and David have missed the enthusiasm of Pete over the last few months, they have always taken into consideration the views that Pete would had put forward.

Pete was also a Trustee at Astbury Mere Country Park and developed their website http://www.astburymerecountrypark.uk/index.html
